4/19/2007 - Jacob is usually a pretty happy boy in the mornings. Last Sunday was no exception as he started his day off in a hotel room in Charlotte, Michigan. In this picture he is playing with his socks, rather than the giraffe that lays at his side.

Picture of the Week: In the Sink

3/30/2007 - Jacob has just about out-grown his kitchen sink baths. In this picture you see him as he's just about to put his mouth around the sink faucet. He'll repeatedly switch between trying to eat/teeth on the faucet and playing with his duck. Karen really has to keep an eye on him, because sometimes he'll turn the water on and that can make a mess.

3/13/2007 - Last week, most pictures were from our day at the Detroit Zoo. We had a fun time and look forward to going back many more times this year.
This picture really captures the expression of wonder on Jacob's face. What was he looking at? We have no idea. Did he even see a butterfly? Who knows. Jacob can be just as interested in a piece of fuzz floating in the air as a butterfly. The whole world is full of new and wonderful experiences for him. Many new things he takes pleasure in and smiles or laughs. Sometimes, like in this picture, he is just learning and processing the new experience. These are the moments that will pass us by too quickly.
