Do you want to hear about our week of endless events? Of course you do, that's why you're here.
Monday - ok an easy night for Karen and Jacob, while Tom went to the guy's Bible study group.
Tuesday - Karen's birthday - Dinner at Red Lobster. Jacob did pretty good except for spilling part of his cup of water on himself near the end and getting all wet. "Ought-Oh." At least he likes lemons.
Wednesday - Dinner at Karen's mom's house with Phil, Grandma and Uncle Mark. Jacob ate shrimp.
Thursday - Jacob got to hang out with Grandpa Ron while Mom and Dad went to the Red Wings hockey game. That was fun, we met up with a contractor and his wife (who had the tickets) at Tom's Oyster Bar and got to know them and share honeymooning in Europe stories.
Friday - Jacob went to Grandma's house for the the night while Mom and Dad went to their Oak Pointe small group in Livonia. We had fun hanging out and chatting with our friends till midnight without having to get home for Jacob to go to bed. We even contemplated a late night movie theater excursion, but opted out. Jacob, meanwhile, was at the Toledo Zoo looking at Christmas lights.
Saturday morning - Off to church to hear about a new church plant in Ann Arbor next year. We are on board with this new start-up and are looking forward to transplanting our whole existence to the same city (home, work, school and church). Of course our family and friends will be skatterd about, but having the main component together will be a real blessing.
So the driveway has been shoveled clean, Jacob's about to wake from a nap and we'll see what the rest of the weekend has in store.
